In scorching heat we all really need an air conditioner which is the only thing which provides cool air. The specialty of this air conditioner is that, hot air is sucked into it and with the help of a compressor that hot air converted into cool air and is blown out. Basically in olden times, those air conditioners used to be a single unit and had to be placed in a window and were called window air conditioners. These split air conditioners have basically two units. One which is placed outside the room and the other unit is placed in the required area. This means that, the noise it used to produce is eliminated. The indoor unit can be mounted wherever required and leaving the unit which contains the compressor anywhere outside the area where the indoor unit is installed.
