Antonio Vivaldi"s The Spring

The queen of seasons, the perfect days of the year, the time for flowers to come to their fullest shape, the wind, the warm sun and everything, in fact everything is “the spring”. There are many songs, poems and lyrics related to “Spring” and every single one of them is as beautiful as the “Spring” itself. Among those several poems, songs and verses, the most beautiful has to be “The Spring” by Antonio Vivaldi. None of the music till date has been beautifully portrayed; the composition itself defines the spring.


I am not that much of a classical music listener but this particular composition by Antonio Vivaldi touched, impressed and poked me the first time I ever dared to listen to such music. In a number of collections of such classical music which includes Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss, Bach and Chopin to name a few, Antonio Vivaldi is the best in my view. The album consists the summer, the autumn, the winter and the spring and the album is named the four seasons. Apart from these four compositions there are other compositions which include Concerto per archi e cembalo G-Dur, Sinfonia C-Dur and Concerto per violin e archi a-Moll.


Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” is a must for all music lovers of all genres. I wish to see or hear the current great musicians paying a tribute to the great Antonio Vivaldi.
