I have been blogging for the last one year or so and I have already made some money. It is real fun in blogging and making money. In the initial stages I had very little idea of back links but gradually I learned that back links played a vital role, and hence started submitting my blogs in different free web directories. Some of those directories listed my blogs within a month and getting a blog registered to a free web directory means getting more publicity. However some directories did not have the right category for my blogs and thus was deprived of registering my blog. But as the days progressed I found a lot of such free web directories and have submitted my blog in most of them.
So in my opinion if you want your blog or web sites to be more popular and reachable to a large number of visitors, you need to register or submit your site to different web directories. There are many web directories which charge you a certain fee for the registration and there are free web directories as well. I can't afford a huge sum of money to submit my blog in those pay per submission directories that is why I mostly depend on a free web directory. So far, my blog has been listed in those free web directories and I am quite happy about it.
