Chinese Democracy By Guns N Roses

The wait is finally over and here’s Guns N’ Roses with a very new album. The highly anticipated “Chinese Democracy” is out in the market.

The pure GNR essence is still there and even though they have come up with the studio album in a long gap, they have successfully placed themselves in the very position they used to be. The album is released under the label of Guns N’ Roses though most of the members are not currently with the band. Everyone besides Axl Rose, the rest of the members is new but they have adapted very well with the GNR norms and ethics. The true GNR tempo, style and attitude remain the same.

There are twelve songs in the album which includes the one called “O My God” which had been featured in the movie “End of Days” in the early 2000’s. The title track Chinese Democracy is a catchy one with powerful riffs in the intro. And “the Blues” being a bit mellower song do possesses the real Axl and Guns N’ Roses flavor.

But at times, Slash’s solos and guitar work could be missed at least in some songs. But the rest of the songs in the whole album is a typical GNR style.

The songs in the album are:

  • Better
  • Chinese Democracy
  • I.R.S.
  • Madagascar
  • Raid N The Bedouins
  • This is love
  • If the world
  • The blues
  • There was a time
  • Catcher n. The rye
  • my god
  • Silk Warms

All in all Chinese Democracy is a good album and worth listening to Axl after a long gap. They are back with true Guns N’ Roses essence. Axl’s vocal is still electrifying and hasn’t lost anything in such a long gap. Great album! It is worth an almost a decade wait.
