I always love listening to cover songs performed by great bands and artistes. The latest that I happened to hear is the Jimmi Hendrix’s classic “Hey Joe” by Deep Purple. I am not sure if it was the original deep purple or not but I found it in a deep purple’s album.
Another cover song that I liked the most is the cover version of Beatles called “We can work it out” by Skidrow and they named this particular song as “We can’t work it out”. This is also a very well crafted cover song.
Sheryl Crow’s “sweet child of mine” is also a great cover done it in her own way with a bit of country style.
Apart from these three great cover songs there are others as well. Tribute to Metallica by several artistes including Korn, Limpbizkit and Avril Lavigne is great. The top tribute to a great band is none other than Tribute to Black Sabbath. This tribute includes a bunch of hard rockers like Megadeth, 1000 Homo DJs, Ugly Kid Joe and etc.
All in all listening to cover numbers is great and with such cover versions, the original performers get more respect. I felt the same when I heard Sheryl Crow singing “sweet child of mine”.
