I've passed my three years of childhood playing under gulmohar trees. We used to collect its seed and play and even eat its core. Some boys enjoyed it more perhaps. On rainy mornings and evenings they used to search big bugs which looked like rhinos and keep them in a match box. They used to feed grass to them and organise bug-fightings. Sometimes we used to sit under it and discuss if it was actually a gulmohar tree. Then again we would compare it with the picture of our gulmohar book and agree that it was a gulmohar tree.
This is gulmohar tree which stands in Prithvichowk of pokhara. A vendor was doing his small business of sugarcane juice under it when I took this picture form a microbus. My last day in pokhara. My last picture of pokhara.
