Some times back I used to call myself an atheist but that has changed to some extent. I never believed in going to the temples, praying and singing hymns but now I have started going to the temples quite frequently.
Today being the Krishna Janmastami, I visited Iskon at Budhanilkantha. I never

After returning form Iskon, I went to a bihar. That bihar is a small Buddhist monastery, spent some time there and headed for lunch. We sat there in the premises and spent some time talking about Buddhism.
Again after having lunch we headed for another temple which is near the place where I live. I don't go there very often because I never have any purpose to go to that side of the neighborhood. On the occasion of Krishna Janmastami, that place too was crowded but not as Iskon. There were people queuing up to pay homage to Lord Krishna and some people were getting ready for the hymns with all the traditional musical instruments.
In fact, I really enjoyed the day because I went to three different pilgrims, two of them being the hindu pilgrims and the other being a Buddhist monastery.
Whether you go to temples for praying or paying homages, it's always an enlightening experience to visit such pilgrims. On my next weekend, I am thinking of visiting another one if I could spare some time for myself.
